草珊瑚为金粟科多年生常绿亚灌木，具有多年的种植历史，我国南方很多省份以及东南亚一些国家都盛产草珊瑚。草珊瑚具有、消肿止痛、并被广泛应用于食品、医药、个人卫生用品中。为保证草珊瑚的多种特性在纺织品中的有效应用，纺织品中的混纺比例草珊瑚不能低于30%的含量。
